Mr. Hornung has been a leader at the forefront of the convergence of the Internet and real estate for over a decade.
Mr. Hornung was a founding member of the executive team for zipRealty in Emeryville, CA. Mr. Hornung served as Vice President of Business Development and Marketing where he pioneered using the Internet to bring data access and transparency to consumers.
Mr. Hornung left zipRealty in 2002 to return to his home in Colorado. Mr. Hornung became a licensed Colorado broker and launched COhomefinder.com with Anthony Francavilla. COhomefinder.com has grown to become one of the most popular real estate websites in Colorado.
Mr. Hornung is a licensed real estate broker in Colorado and member of the Colorado Association of REALTORs. He formerly practiced with RE/MAX® for 8 years and his designations and awards include the RE/MAX Diamond Club, RE/MAX® Chairman’s Club, RE/MAX® Hall of Fame, and e-PRO designation.
Mr. Hornung is a third generation Coloradoan. He served in the United States Marine Corps as a Cobra attack helicopter pilot and is a Gulf War veteran. Mr. Hornung has a MBA from the University of Colorado and a BS in Industrial Engineering with Honors from Stanford University.
Mr. Hornung is an active member of the community and serves on the Board of Directors of Greenhouse Scholars and formerly the Boulder Valley School District Accountability Committee. Mr. Hornung lives in Boulder with his wife Carolyn and three children.
